Abstract:
For the purpose of producing polypropylene resin extruded foam particles of excellent quality without deteriorating the productivity, a method for producing polypropylene resin extruded foam particles according to the present invention comprises: a melt-kneading step in which a composition that contains a foaming agent and a resin mixture containing a branched polypropylene resin is melt-kneaded with use of an extruder; an extrusion step in which the composition is extruded through holes of a die into a region that is at a lower pressure than the extruder and in a liquid phase; a chopping step in which the composition is chopped in the region; and a step in which polypropylene resin extruded foam particles are obtained. With respect to this method for producing polypropylene resin extruded foam particles, the distance between the holes in the circumferential direction of the die and the temperature of the liquid phase are at specific values.
