Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing a purified gas and an apparatus for producing a purified gas, said method and apparatus are capable of maintaining heavy metal removal ability by maintaining the acidity of cleaning water by having carbon dioxide dissolved in the cleaning water during acid cleaning for the removal of an acid-soluble heavy metal component from a crude gas that contains the heavy metal component. A method for producing a purified gas, wherein a purified gas is obtained by removing at least a part of an acid-soluble heavy metal component from a crude gas derived from waste with use of a scrubber, said crude gas containing the heavy metal component. With respect to this method for producing a purified gas, cleaning water in which at least carbon dioxide is dissolved is brought into contact with the crude gas at the scrubber, thereby removing at least a part of the heavy metal component from the crude gas; and the concentration D1 of dissolved carbon dioxide in the cleaning water is 0.72 L/kg or more.
