Abstract:
A divided support molded product having a shape obtained by dividing a support into two in the direction of a thickness such that a fuel flow path is divided into two in the direction of a thickness is produced by gel casting in which a mold is filled with a slurry. While an upper surface of a divided support molded product is exposed and the divided support molded product is accommodated in the mold, a fuel side electrode molded product and an electrolyte molded product are layered sequentially on the upper surface of the divided support molded product to obtain a divided cell molded product. Two of these divided cell molded products are prepared. The two divided cell molded products are joined together and fired to obtain an SOFC cell (fired product) in which no oxygen side electrode has been formed. An oxygen side electrode molded product is formed on upper and lower surfaces of the fired product. The oxygen side electrode molded products are fired to thereby complete an SOFC cell (A). The SOFC cell (fired product) has the fuel flow path in the support, the electric resistance of the entire cell is comparatively small, and deflection does not tend to occur in the support.
