Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for the production of an aqueous polyurethane dispersion by means of a solvent-free process. A solvent-free aqueous polyurethane dispersion (PUD) can be successfully produced without adding any drops of an organic solvent to dissolve the raw materials and reduce the viscosity of a prepolymer during the preparation process, thus achieving the goal of zero discharge of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and reducing investment equipment costs and energy consumption; furthermore, the production capacity can be effectively increased.
