Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for efficiently separating and removing manganese from an acid solution containing scandium and manganese. The present invention pertains to a method for recovering scandium from an acid solution containing scandium. The method is characterized: in that the acid solution contains at least manganese as an impurity element; and by including a concentration step for concentrating scandium by generating scandium hydroxide through adding of an alkali to the acid solution to perform neutralization thereof, wherein, in the concentration step, on the occasion of the neutralization, an alkali is added while the liquid surface of the acid solution, stored in a reaction container, is maintained so as not to make contact with oxygen.
