Title:
METHOD FOR RECOVERING XENON
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/030514
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for recovering xenon, wherein an adsorbent material, which is mainly composed of zeolite having a pore diameter of 4.5-7.3 Å (inclusive) and capable of adsorbing xenon at room temperature and at atmospheric pressure or at room temperature and at low xenon partial pressure, is used. In the method for recovering xenon, the adsorbent material and a xenon sealed device are made to communicate with each other, so that the adsorbent material adsorbs xenon and then xenon is desorbed from the adsorbent material. As a result, xenon can be directly recovered from a used device, in which xenon is sealed, highly efficiently at room temperature and at atmospheric pressure or at room temperature and at low xenon partial pressure.
