Abstract:
Provided are a method and refrigerator for pushing information when monitoring food freshness date, said method comprising: recording a preset food freshness-date threshold (S101); by means of scanning a barcode, recording the food a user places into a refrigerator (S102); monitoring the time at which the food placed into the refrigerator by the user is stored (S103); determining whether the time at which the food placed into the refrigerator by the user is stored exceeds said food freshness-date threshold (S104); if not, then maintaining the original state (S105); if so, then pushing food expiration information to the user and alerting the user, while also pushing patent information to the user (S106). The time at which food is stored in the refrigerator is monitored by means of scanning a barcode; if the time at which the food was stored exceeds the freshness date, then the refrigerator proactively pushes food-expiration reminder information to the user, thus protecting the health of the user and reducing food wastage and improving the experience of the user when using the refrigerator, while also protecting the interests of the patent (application) applicant.
