Abstract:
A method of sensing an aerosol characteristic parameter using a dual-wavelength scattered signal and an application thereof, relating to the technical field of fire alarms. The method comprises: by receiving a light scattering optical power of two types of wavelengths, calculating a surface area concentration and volume concentration of an aerosol to obtain a Sauter mean diameter of the aerosol, comparing the same with a corresponding threshold, and emitting a corresponding fire alarm signal. By adopting the method, a particle diameter size of an aerosol can be determined by a Sauter mean diameter, enabling timely identification of whether a fire has started, and timely and accurate emission of a fire alarm signal or identification of interference by non-fire factors; further, a characteristic parameter of a detected aerosol can be determined from the surface area concentration and volume concentration thereof, thereby determining and emitting a fire type alarm signal, facilitating appropriate targeted action.
