Abstract:
In the present method for setting a beacon system comprising a plurality of beacons that are capable of communicating at least with adjacent beacons and that are disposed in a distributed arrangement: a detection beacon having a known ID is disposed near a position at which a target to-be-detected beacon, from among the plurality of beacons, is possibly present; a signal including an ID is issued by the detection beacon; and the to-be-detected beacon is identified by comparing the reception strength of the issued signal as measured by the to-be-tested beacon and each of a plurality of beacons disposed around the to-be-detected beacon.
