Abstract:

A method for supplying a lubricating oil in cold rolling, which comprises steps of storing two or more types of lubricating oils, for example, oils A and B having different compositions in separate tanks, selecting one of lubricating oils A and B or selecting plural oils followed by mixing them, according to the friction coefficient between a material to be rolled and a working roll, and then supplying an emulsion prepared by mixing the above lubricating oils A and/or B and hot water to the input side of a rolling machine. The above method for supplying a lubricating oil allows the response to plural metal plates having different material qualities without the restriction by a lubricating oil supplying apparatus or lubrication control, in the cold rolling of a metal plate.
