Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for determining pathologic myopia by using the geometric structure of a fundus posterior sclera, comprising the steps of: acquiring geometric position data about the fovea, an optic disc, and the deepest point of the eye (DPE) in the fundus posterior sclera; obtaining the tomographic elevation of the posterior sclera (TEPS) between the fovea and the DPE (TEPSfovea-DPE), the TEPS between the optic disc and the DPE (TEPSdisc-DPE), and the TEPS between the fovea and the optic disc (TEPSfovea-disc) by using position information about the fovea, the DPE, and the optic disc in the posterior sclera; and determining pathologic myopia by using at least two TEPS selected from among the values of the TEPSfovea-DPE, the TEPSdisc-DPE, and the TEPSfovea-disc.
