Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for informing user equipment (UE) the component carriers which need to be monitored. The method includes the following steps: evolved Node B (eNB) sends the UE an instruction for changing monitoring and Component Carrier (CC) corresponding to the instruction by the Media Access Control (MAC) layer control command, and according to the instruction for changing monitoring and CC corresponding to the instruction, the UE activates or deactivates monitoring the corresponding CC. In present invention, the eNB can use the MAC Protocol Data Unit (PDU) to indicate the UE to increase, decrease or change the monitored CC. The above technical solution not only can be achieved in simple and flexible manner, but also has higher reliability.
