Abstract:
The problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a method for examining atrial arrhythmias for diagnosing atrial arrhythmias or predicting the onset thereof and an examination system therefor. The method for examining atrial arrhythmias according to the present invention, which is for diagnosing atrial arrhythmias or predicting the onset thereof, is characterized by comprising a step for quantitating at least one microRNA (hereinafter referred to as "miRNA") which is selected from four miRNAs including miR-99a-5p, miR-192-5p, miR-214-3p and miR-342-5p, among miRNAs contained in a non-cellular biological liquid obtained from a subject, or at least one miRNA which has a base sequence wherein at least six bases are the same as the bases in the sequence consisting of seven bases at the 2nd to 8th positions in at least one of the aforesaid four miRNAs or which possesses the same target gene as at least one of the four miRNAs.
