Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of ONU configurations. Disclosed are a method and system for managing an ONU supporting multiple private protocols. The steps of the method comprise: S1: an OLT obtains and adds private protocols of all the ONUs required to be managed; S2: the OLT allocates the same service transmission queue to all the ONUs by means of the private protocols of the ONU, a service transmission rate threshold being configured for the service transmission queue, and each service transmission queue being allocated the corresponding service priority; and S3: the OLT selects the service transmission queue corresponding to the service priority supported by the ONU from the service transmission queues of the ONU for performing service transmission. According to the present invention, ONUs having different private protocols can be managed uniformly, thereby simplifying the process that an OLT manages the ONUs and significantly reducing the failure probability when the ONUs transmit the service.
