Abstract:
A method, system and Path Computation Element (PCE) for obtaining path information are provided, from the source PCE, the shortest path from the source node to the export border node of itself- responsible region is calculated one by one by each PCE which is located between the source PCE and the converging PCE, including the source PCE, and the calculation result is sent to the next-hop PCE until the converging PCE is reached; at the same time, from the destination PCE, the shortest paths from the destination node to the export border node of itself- responsible region are calculated one by one by each PCE which is located between the destination PCE and the converging PCE, including the destination PCE, and the calculation result is sent to the last-hop PCE until the converging PCE is reached; after receiving the calculation results from the last-hop PCE and the next-hop PCE, the converging PCE calculates the shortest path from the source node to the destination PCE, and transmits the shortest path to the source PCE. The total time consumed by obtaining path information is shortened by the technical solution of the invention's embodiments effectively.
