Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of providing a service that notifies users of the latest content, and a notification system for performing same. The present invention provides a content server comprising: a notification requesting/determining unit for determining, on the basis of the commands received from a terminal, whether the terminal may play back any content; a latest content selecting unit for selecting content registered during a certain period from the current time, from among content that suits the preferences of the user of the terminal; and a notification control unit for providing the terminal with content information on the latest content that has been selected by the latest content selecting unit, if it is determined on the basis of the determination of the notification requesting/determining unit that the terminal may play back content.
