Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for tracking the location of an electronic shelf label (ESL) node by an ESL system. The present method comprises: a step in which an ESL node receives a location tracking command; a step in which the ESL node identifies at least one reference node mounted on a shelf in a predetermined location, on the basis of the location tracking command; a step in which the ESL node transmits at least one response signal to the at least one reference node in response to at least one ultra-wideband (UWB) signal that is broadcasted by the at least one reference node; and a step in which a server receives angle information and distance information between the ESL node and the at least one reference node, calculated from the at least one response signal, and calculates a detailed shelf location of the ESL node.
