Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for treating a liquid waste material containing a carbon group, and more particularly, to a method for treating a liquid waste material containing a carbon group, comprising a step of mixing the liquid waste material containing a carbon group with carbon powder to prepare a paste of liquid waste material and carbon powder; and a step of heat-treating the paste. The amount of the liquid waste material is adjusted or the amount of the carbon powder being mixed with the liquid waste material is adjusted during preparation of the paste. The paste is treated at a low temperature in such a manner that the carbon as an element of the liquid waste material can be absorbed to the carbon of the carbon powder, instead of being bound to oxygen to produce carbon-monoxide or carbon-dioxide. The method of the present invention preemptively prevents carbon as an element of the liquid waste material from reacting with oxygen in the air to produce environmentally harmful materials such as carbon dioxide or the like, during high-heat temperature treatment of the toxic liquid waste material performed for disposal of the liquid waste material. The method of the present invention may provide an opportunity of reusing the carbon component in the liquid waste material, as a resource.
