Abstract:
A method for visual recognition and a system thereof. The method comprises: acquiring an image sequence (102); determining whether each image in the image sequence contains a facial image, and if so, determining, according to the facial image, whether the eyes of a subject are focused on a designated region (104); and if so, calculating the number of people focusing on the designated region (106). The method employs facial images to calculate the number of people focusing on a designated region, and enables effective calculation of the number of times and duration of a target being viewed.
