Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing methods for effectively producing pyridines and pyrroles. Said problem can be solved by a method for producing at least one selected from among a compound having a pyridine ring structure, and a compound having a pyrrole ring structure, the method comprising a reaction step in which a polyol and ammonia are subjected to a gas-phase reaction in the presence of a catalyst to obtain at least one selected from among the compound having a pyridine ring structure and the compound having a pyrrole ring structure, wherein the catalyst includes at least one selected from the group consisting of a large pore zeolite and an ultra-large pore zeolite.
