Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a low-cost and highly-safe method for producing a polycyclic aromatic aminophenol compound in a small number of steps. The method for producing a polycyclic aromatic aminophenol compound is characterized by having a step for reacting a compound represented by general formula (1) with an aromatic amino compound. (In general formula (1), n represents an integer of 1-8, Ar represents an optionally substituted benzene ring or an optionally substituted naphthalene ring, R1 and R2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an optionally substituted hydrocarbon group having 1-6 carbon atoms, or an optionally substituted aromatic group, and R3 represents a hydroxy group, a methoxy group, or a halogen atom.)
