Abstract:

A carbapenem derivative which is highly effective in the treatment or prevention of microbism, in particular, infectious diseases of the respiratory system. It is a carbapenem compound represented by the general formula [Chemical formula 1] (I) [wherein A is optionally substituted C_1-6 alkyl, substituted C_2-4 alkenyl, C_3-6 cycloalkyl, an optionally substituted C_4-6 heterocyclic group, monosubstituted amino, or disubstituted amino; n is 1 or 2; and X is oxygen or sulfur] or a pharmacologically acceptable salt or ester derivative of the compound.
