Abstract:

Disclosed is a microchip (1) provided with: a translucent member (11); a channel (10) or a cell formed on the light incoming side of the translucent member (11); and an aperture (16) formed at a position which corresponds to the channel (10) or the cell on the light outgoing side of the translucent member (11). The aperture (16) has a light outgoing surface (17) from which a luminous flux outputted from the channel (10) or the cell is outputted, and a reflecting surface (18) which totally reflects an inputted luminous flux. The width (W1) of the light outgoing surface (17) is smaller than the width (W2) of the channel (10) or the cell.
