Patent Searching and Data

Title:
MICROSCOPE SYSTEM FOR SURGERY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/199984
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In the present invention, the position of a target substance existing inside a tissue is ascertained using an easier method. According to a microscope system for surgery (1), image data for a third image that indicates the position of a target substance can be obtained from a first image that indicates the intensity distribution of light radiated from a specimen (5) for a first wavelength region and a second image that indicates the intensity distribution of light radiated from the specimen for a second wavelength region. Then, information that further indicates the position of the target substance with respect to an image indicating the surface shape of the specimen (5) is added to output data obtained by overlaying the obtained image data with shape image data. Consequently, by referencing the output data, the position of the target substance existing inside the tissue can be ascertained non-invasively. Furthermore, with the microscope system for surgery (1), the position of a target substance inside a tissue can be ascertained by capturing a first and second image separately from shape image data, and thus ascertaining the position of a target substance can be accomplished by a method that is easier than conventional methods.
