Abstract:
This microwave treatment device comprises a heating chamber (1) that accommodates an object (2) to be heated, a microwave generation unit (3), a heating unit (7), a power supply unit (4), a detection unit (5), and a control unit (6). The microwave generation unit (3) generates microwaves. The heating unit (7) has a non-microwave heating source, and heats the interior of the heating chamber (1). The power supply unit (4) supplies microwaves to the heating chamber. The detection unit (5) detects electrical power reflected from the power supply unit (4). The control unit (6) controls the heating unit (7) and the microwave generation unit (3). During heating performed by the heating unit (7), the control unit (6) causes the microwave generation unit (3) to generate microwaves having an output electrical power such that reflected electrical power of a level that can be detected by the detection unit (5) returns. The present disclosure makes it possible to ascertain the progress of cooking and thereby appropriately cook the object to be heated.
