Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an examination/diagnosis drug for examining or diagnosing a mitochondria-related illness. The present disclosure relates to a composition containing a nitroxyl radical compound that selectively reacts with radicals present in mitochondria or a salt of said compound, or to an examination/diagnosis drug for examining or diagnosing a mitochondria-related illness by using said composition. The mitochondria-related illness includes circulatory diseases, respiratory diseases, cerebral nervous system diseases, digestive diseases, hematologic diseases, endocrine diseases, urinary diseases, dermatological diseases, supportive tissue diseases, ophthalmological diseases, tumor symptoms, iatrogenic disorders, environmental-pollution-type illnesses, operative stress, mental illnesses, inflammatory diseases, tumors, medicine-induced liver disease, and infertility.
