Abstract:

Provided is a mixed powder for powder metallurgy that includes a readily available compound as a lubricant, that need not include a metal soap which causes staining, that has exceptional extractability and compressibility, and that furthermore can exhibit exceptional fluidity without any reduction in the extractability and compressibility even when carbon black is included. A mixed powder for powder metallurgy containing (a) an iron-based powder and (b) a lubricant, wherein the (b) lubricant is an ester of a disaccharide and a fatty acid represented by R-COOH, and R is a C11 or higher alkyl group or a C11 or higher alkenyl group.
