Abstract:
Provided are a device and a method that realize movement in accordance with a predefined route even when a mobile body cannot receive absolute position information such as a GPS signal from the outside. The present invention relates to a configuration for executing mobile body control of drones and the like, said configuration executing an imaging direction control step in which a control unit controls an imaging direction of a camera, and a localization processing step in which a self-position estimation unit executes a localization process of estimating a self-position using an image that is captured by the camera. The imaging direction control step references localization possibility information that makes it possible to identify whether or not localization is possible on a partitioned area basis, and executes a camera imaging direction control process of orienting the imaging direction of the camera toward a partitioned area where localization is possible.
