Abstract:
A mobile device with a display unit formed in a casing structure comprising a metal
structure holding the display unit as a main structure and a resin casing formed
integrally with the metal structure. In the metal structure, since the holding
part of the display unit is formed in a box shape, the display unit formed of a sheet
glass has a resistance against a bending load from the outside and a deformation
caused by a torsional load. Accordingly, even if the rigidity of the display part
itself is lowered due to a reduction in the thickness thereof, the display unit
can be prevented from being damaged. Since the metal structure is manufactured
by press-working a thin sheet, even if its wall thickness is small, it can keep
a sufficient strength. Furthermore, since the metal structure is formed as the
frame part of the overall casing, the rigidity of the overall device can be maintained
by the structure to protect mounting substrates and functional parts other than
the display unit.
