Abstract:
A mobile terminal can expand a mobile terminal expansion area by ensuring the length of a rack gear, the mobile terminal comprising: a first frame; a second frame which can switch from a first state to a second state by moving in a first direction from the first frame, and which can switch from the second state to the first state by sliding in a second direction that is the opposite direction of the first direction; and a driving unit for sliding the second frame, wherein the driving unit comprises: a motor coupled to the first frame; a first pinion gear that rotates by receiving the rotatory force of the motor; a first rack gear extending in the first direction, and moving in the first or second direction when the pinion gear rotates; and a second rack gear arranged to overlap on the first rack gear in the thickness direction in the first state, and arranged in parallel to the second direction of the first rack gear in the second state.
