Abstract:
Base stations notify area information indicating communication areas to a mobile terminal.  The mobile terminal determines a base station of a handover destination on the basis of the positional information of the mobile terminal and the notified area information, and transmits a handover request to the base station.  When receiving the handover request transmitted from the mobile terminal, the base stations request the communication information of the mobile terminal to a base station with which the mobile terminal is currently communicating.  When the communication information of the mobile terminal is requested, the base stations notify the communication information of the mobile terminal to a base station which has requested the communication information.  When having acquired the communication information of the mobile terminal, the base stations perform the handover processing of the mobile terminal using the communication information.
