Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a moisturizer with which it is possible to adequately promote the production of moisturizing-related proteins and realize an adequate moisturizing effect. Specifically, the present invention provides a moisturizer containing an acyl neutral amino acid having a C2-18 acyl group or a salt thereof, and a cosmetic containing the moisturizer. This moisturizer and this cosmetic make it possible to promote the production of one or more moisturizing-related proteins selected from the group consisting of filaggrin, involucrin, transglutaminase 1, keratin 10, and loricrin.
