Abstract:
Provided is a lightweight molded fiber of excellent sound absorbing properties which is for sound absorbing/sound insulation materials. This molded fiber for sound absorbing/sound insulation materials comprises an extremely fine uncolored chemical fiber, and a colored fiber or a recovered fiber. The extremely fine chemical fiber has a unit fiber fineness of 0.01-0.5 dtex. In the molded fiber for sound absorbing/sound insulation materials, the content of the extremely fine chemical fiber is 5-70 mass% and the content of the colored fiber or the recovered fiber is 20-60 mass%.
