Abstract:
A method for determining at least one of the degree of a grain protein content and the degree of the number of spikes in a wheat plant includes a step for detecting, as a molecular marker, a nucleotide sequence corresponding to a nucleotide sequence lying between position-1614 and position-2228 in the nucleotide sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1 that shows a Gpc-B2 gene. Accordingly, a trait associated with at least one of the degree of a grain protein content and the degree of the number of spikes in wheat can be determined in an early stage.
