Abstract:
The invention relates to a molecular trap for the selective capture of carbon disulfide and other related toxic compounds, which consists of a complex of metals belonging to the last groups of transition elements capable of forming square planar complexes stabilised by a chelating ligand that occupies three of the coordination positions of the metal, while the fourth coordination position is occupied by a pyrazolate ligand, or similar nitrogen-containing ligands, which are free and potential donors.
