Abstract:
A monitoring system 100 is provided with a monitoring device 10 and a surveillance camera 20. The monitoring device 10 is provided with a dead angle area specification unit 11 for detecting an obstacle from image data acquired by the surveillance camera 20 and specifying a dead angle area due to the detected obstacle, a detection unit 12 for detecting the trespassing of a prescribed person on the dead angle area from the image data, and an alerting unit 13 for providing an alert to the outside in accordance with the detection of the trespassing of a prescribed person on the dead angle area.
