Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a monitoring device which can acquire ONU unique information or connection information even in an MC-type optical communication system, and finish optical fiber cable switching work in a short time. A monitoring device according to the present invention, which monitors an optical communication system in which an OLT and an ONU are connected through an optical fiber for communication, is characterized by including: an optical receiver which receives, from the optical fiber for communication, signal light transmitted from the ONU; and an OAM frame analysis unit which extracts, from the signal light received by the optical receiver, an MEG level-OAM frame, monitoring end points of which are the ONU and the OLT, and acquires a transmission source address and an MEG-ID, which identifies an MEG, in the OAM frame.
