Abstract:
A motion estimation method and device. The method comprises: determining a global motion vector of a current frame relative to a current reference frame according to the current frame and the current reference frame; and performing motion estimation on a target frame according to the global motion vector. According to the motion estimation method and device, the global motion vector of the current frame relative to the current reference frame, i.e., an overall offset, is pre-calculated so that the global motion vector can be used as a reference during motion estimation on the target frame on which the motion estimation is to be performed, thereby reducing overall complexity in motion estimation.
