Abstract:
Provided are a motive force control method and a motive force control device for a hybrid vehicle with which it is possible for engine torque fluctuations to be effectively absorbed while limiting a deterioration in energy efficiency. This motive force control device for a hybrid vehicle includes a PCM (14) which estimates an average torque output by an engine (2), estimates a torque fluctuation component in the torque output by the engine, sets a counter-torque to suppress the estimated torque fluctuation component, and controls an electric motor to output the set counter-torque, wherein the PCM sets the counter-torque such that when the rotational speed of the engine is constant, an absolute value of the counter-torque becomes smaller as the average torque output by the engine becomes larger.
