Abstract:
In a motor control method according to an embodiment of the present invention, (A) three current values Ia, Ib, Ic of a three-phase current flowing in a motor M that are detected using three current sensors I1, I2, I3, and two rotor angles θa, θb of the motor M that are detected using two position sensors θ1, θ2, are acquired; (B) six calculations are performed using two of the current values among the three current values Ia, Ib, Ic, and one of the rotor angles among the two rotor angles θa, θb; (C) at least one faulty sensor is specified among the current sensors and the position sensors, using a table indicating the relationship between the pattern of the results of the six calculations and the faulty sensor; (D) a sensor that is different from the at least one specified faulty sensor is selected as a normal sensor; and (E) the motor M is controlled using the selected normal sensor.
