Abstract:
A motor drive device is provided with an inverter 5 and an inverter control unit 8. The inverter control unit 8 receives the input of a DC voltage detected between a DC power supply 1 and the inverter 5 and a current detected between the DC power supply 1 and a motor 4, generates a pulse width modulation signal, and outputs the pulse width modulation signal to the inverter 5 for a switching operation of the same. In the inverter control unit 8, a minimum value of an output voltage frequency after the motor 4 has accelerated is greater than a minimum value of a frequency for switching the number of operation pulses, or a maximum value of the output voltage frequency after the motor 4 has accelerated is smaller than the minimum value of the frequency for switching the number of operation pulses.
