Title:
MOTOR-DRIVEN FUEL PUMP
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/023739
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A motor-driven fuel pump, wherein permanent magnets (30, 31) are disposed on both sides of a rotor (16), with respect to its centerline, which crosses perpendicularly to the direction of a load applied to an impeller (4) by a pressure distribution inside a pump flow path (7), and the axial center (31a) of the permanent magnet (31) is disposed offset from the axial center (30a) of the other permanent magnet (30) to the impeller (4) side so as to generate a torque on the rotor (16), whereby a load applied to bearings (17, 18) is reduced to make it difficult for a pump efficiency to lower and the bearings (17, 18) to wear.
