Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a mounting device with which erroneous introduction of a mounting medium is prevented when a mounting medium bottle is being replaced, and with which a coverslip, the mounting medium, and a clearing agent are combined appropriately. As a means for achieving this objective, a mounting device (10) comprises: a starting tank (22) in which a clearing agent is stored, and in which a slide glass (12) having a pre-mounting specimen bonded thereto is immersed in the clearing agent; a mounting medium bottle (44) for storing the mounting medium to be dispensed onto the slide glass (12) that has been removed from the starting tank (22), and including a recording portion (62) in which at least a type of the mounting medium is recorded; a storage unit (68) for storing compatibility information relating to a coverslip (26) that is currently being utilized, and the mounting medium and the clearing agent; and a control unit (66) which, when the mounting medium bottle (44) is being replaced, performs control to determine compatibility between the mounting medium read from the recording portion (62), and the coverslip (26) and the clearing agent stored in the storage unit (68), and at least to report incompatibility via a reporting unit (20) if the result of the determination indicates incompatibility.
