Abstract:
According to the present invention, a moving body such as a robot is controlled using data such as a map in which a class attribute is recorded for each class corresponding to a room, for example. Feature information of a class and moving body control information for the class are recorded as class attributes in association with the class, where the class is a divided region within a map, such as a semantic map, of an area of travel of a moving body such as a robot. The map is a map that enables room types and room boundaries to be distinguished, and records, as the class attributes for the class corresponding to each room, the presence or absence of a person in the room, and information indicating whether the robot can enter, for example. Travel control of the robot is executed using the map and data in which such class attributes are recorded.
