Abstract:
Disclosed is a muffler, comprising an inlet pipe (1), an outlet pipe (3), a hollow expansion chamber (2) between the inlet pipe (1) and the outlet pipe (3), and perforated acoustic metamaterial baffle plates (4) arranged vertically or obliquely in cross section inside the hollow expansion chamber (2). The perforated acoustic metamaterial baffle plate (4) comprises a peripheral frame (8), a constrained body (9) connected to the peripheral frame in an rigid manner is provided inside the peripheral frame (8), the surface of the peripheral frame (8) is covered with a thin film (6), and the constrained body (9) and the thin film (6) are each provided with a perforation. Further involved is an improved reactive muffler, not only able to effectively prevent the occurrence of stationary wave attenuation trough in a conventional reactive muffler, but also having an excellent low-frequency noise attenuation effect on the condition there is structural compactness. Further involved is an improved dissipative muffler solving the problem of the direct contact between a sound absorbing material and a fluid flowing therethrough in a conventional dissipative muffler. Still further involved is a muffler able to utilize the vibration of the perforated acoustic metamaterial baffle plates to increase the efficiency of heat transfer between the fluid media on the two sides of the perforations. Furthermore, further provided are a frequency-modulation and preparation method for the perforated acoustic metamaterial baffle plate and an assembly method for the muffler.
