Provided are a multi-feed detection device (10), a sheet conveyance device, and a sheet treatment device, which are advantageous in that device size is reduced without there being a decline in multi-feed detection performance. The multi-feed detection device (10) comprises an ultrasonic wave transmitting means (20) that is provided on one side of a conveyance path (11) and that transmits ultrasonic waves toward the conveyance path (11) whereby a sheet-shaped member (P) is conveyed, an ultrasonic wave receiving means (30) that is provided on the other side of the conveyance path (11) and that receives the ultrasonic waves from the ultrasonic wave transmitting means (20), and a multi-feed determining means for determining whether or not the sheet-shaped member (P) is a multi-feed on the basis of the reception results of the ultrasonic waves received by the ultrasonic wave receiving means (30), wherein an ultrasonic wave transmission surface of the ultrasonic wave transmitting means (20) is provided at an incline with respect to the conveyance path (11), and an ultrasonic wave reception surface of the ultrasonic wave receiving means (30) is provided substantially parallel to the conveyance path (11).
