Abstract:
Disclosed are: a novel ribozyme system which can catalyze the acylation of tRNA using any one of various carboxylic acids as a donor of an acyl group; and use of the ribozyme system. A ribozyme capable of catalyzing the acylation of tRNA has a structure comprising an RNA sequence depicted by the formula (1): P1-Z1Z2Z3Z4(N1)1(N1)2···(N1)p-P2-(N2)1(N2)2···(N2)qY1Y2Y3 (N3)1(N3)2N4GGN [wherein (N1)1 to (N1)p independently represent any monoribonucleotide selected from U, C, A and G; p represents 3 or 4; (N2)1 to (N2)q independently represent any monoribonucleotide selected from U, C, A and G; q represents 5 or 6; (N3)1 to (N3)2 independently represent any monoribonucleotide selected from U, C, A and G; N4 represents any monoribonucleotide selected from U, C, A and G; Z1 to Z4 independently represent C or G; Y1 to Y3 independently represent C or G; N represents a monoribonucleotide complementary to A or G; and P1 and P2 independently represent an region comprising an RNA sequence which may have a stem loop structure.
