Abstract:
A multi-task management method and a terminal device, which are used for solving the problems in the prior art of needing to wait for a certain period of time during the switching between foreground and background applications such that the user experience is affected, and being incapable of being better applicable to certain application scenarios. In the present application, a terminal device detects a trigger instruction for triggering the display of a pre-set running interface respectively corresponding to at least one application running in the background, and after the trigger instruction is detected, displays a running interface list in a first region of a display screen, wherein the running interface list comprises the pre-set running interface respectively corresponding to the at least one application. By means of the method provided in the present application, a user can check a running condition of a background application via a multi-task management interface without the need of switching an application running in the background to the foreground, such that the switching time and update time of the application can be saved on, and thus, the waiting time of the user is reduced and the user experience is improved.
