Title:
MULTIARM, HORIZONTALLY OPERATING FLOW GYRO APPARATUS, DRIVEN ON TWO SIDES AND MOUNTED IN THE LEVELS OF A STEEL FRAME TOWER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/051800
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The apparatus is used to convert flowing air or water flows into a rotary motion to produce energy in the form of electric power, air pressure and the like for further use. The respective flow pressure is simultaneously captured by two opposing sides of the flow gyros (of pos. 1) separately installed in each level of the steel frame tower (of pos. 2) by the rudder blades 1 to 5 (of pos. 3, 3' to 3'''") thereof, which are attached to the associated rotor arms (of pos. 5, 5' to 5'"') by an articulated attachment and held in a predetermined angular position relative to the respective rotor arm by pendulum stoppers (of pos. 4, 4' to 4"'') having stop pins (of pos. 7, 7' to 7"") and thereby capture the flow pressure, and transmitted to the vertically installed drive shaft (of pos. 6) into a revolving rotary motion for further use. The stop pins (of pos. 7' to 7"") have multiple functions, are retaining pins for the pendulum stoppers, are overload protection pins with respect to excessive flow pressure, are used for the manual shut-off for inspections, and the like, and are controlled by the pressure cylinder (of pos. 8).
