Abstract:
Provided is multilayer glass in which there is a gap section between a first glass substrate and a second glass substrate that face each other, wherein the multilayer glass is characterized by the following: the gap section is sealed at the periphery of the multilayer glass by a sealing member; the sealing member, when seen from the thickness direction of the multilayer glass, has a metal member having an annular shape along the periphery of the multilayer glass, a first bonding layer, and a second bonding layer; the metal member has a first contact region that comes into contact with the first bonding layer, and a second contact region that comes into contact with the second bonding layer; the first bonding layer is formed at the perimeter of the first glass substrate and bonds with the first contact region; the second bonding layer is formed at the perimeter of the second glass substrate and bonds with the second contact region; and at the first contact region and the second contact region of the metal member, formed is an uneven surface of an island-shaped pattern that includes a plurality of island sections having a recessed or protruding shape.
